Local Governments In The Middle East And West Asia - Adem Esen, Maan Chibli - UCLG-MEWA - 2019 - 484 Sayfa - 16x24 / Within the framework of the vision and mission of UCLG-MEWA, preparations for the new book started with the initiative of Mehmet Duman, UCLG-MEWA Secretary General, in the last month of 2016 to analyze the local government systems of the member countries. In this context, the main headings and subheadings of the book were determined as a result of many workshops. UN Sustainable Development Goals were taken into consideration while determining the topics to be included. Within this framework, the countries to be examined by the authors were determined. Accordingly, A. Esen analyzed Afghanistan, Iran, Pakistan, Turkey, Azerbaijan, the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), and Turkmenistan while M. Chibli analyzed Bahrain, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, United Arab Emirates, and Yemen.
