King Cobra SS-i Oversize 8 Iron Golf Set, 3 thru PW, Stiff Flex
Cobra introduced its SS-i iron series into the retail marketplace in 2003 at the MSRP of $599.99 for an 8 iron set with steel shafts. Features and Benefits (according to Cobra) are as follows: * “Lightweight shaft and heads help add swing speed. * Urethane insert in the back cavity minimizes the vibration often found in other oversize, thin-face irons for improved feel. * Use of softer than most competitive products also helps produce a warmer, less harsh feel. * Long blade length and oversize back cavity promotes maximum confidence and assistance. * A “muscle arch” in the cavity improves perimeter weighting for less club head twisting on off-center hits. * “Skid-sole design prevents turf-digging for better contact and more consistent ball-sticking.” I painted/coated the bottom 2 grooves on the clubface of each iron with very distinctive bright white Rust-Oleum enamel. These white groove helps the golfer “square” the clubhead to the back of the ball at address which promotes a more accurate, straighter shot. All 8 irons have Cobra SS-i Series Low Kick 105g (gram) stiff flex steel shafts and Golf Pride Tour Wrap full cord grips that are in excellent condition. PGA Value Guide lists trade-in value of Cobra SS-i irons as “Low: $24.00, Mid: $28.80, High: $34.00” an iron. I’m selling this matching 8 iron set of SS-i’s for $25 a club and they’re in excellent condition. Pick up only on the Northwest side of Houston, TX. Sorry, I don’t ship.
